Bridges
A bridge can be used to replace a small number of missing teeth. There are different types of bridges available and our dentists can suggest which type is best for you.

Dentures

Dentures can be completely made of plastic or a mixture of metal and plastic. A partial denture is a plate with one or more false teeth on it which fills in the spaces left by missing teeth. A full denture replaces all the natural teeth in either the upper or lower jaw.

Improving your smile is one of common reasons to replace missing teeth. Another reason to replace a lost tooth is that having a gap can mean more force is put on teeth on either side of the gap. Also, having a gap encourages teeth on either side to lean into the space and change the way your upper and lower teeth bite together.
You can only have a bridge if the teeth on either side of the gap are in good condition with enough bone support. Bridges may not work for people who have compromised teeth or gum disease.
Having a denture made normally takes multiple appointments. Our dentist will take several measurements and impressions (moulds) of your mouth. These will be passed on to the carefully selected dental technician who will custom made dentures for our patients.
Replacing missing teeth can often improve your appearance. As well as enhancing your smile, our dentures can also give support to your lips and cheeks and fill out the appearance of your face.
A crown/Onlay(partial crown) is an artificial restoration which fits over the whole tooth to protection the tooth from fracturing.
